Salvo Corporation Earns Minority
Business Council (MBC) Designation
HOUSTON, (February 2007) – Salvo Corporation,
a leading supplier of technical documentation,
cross-cultural and other management training
and translations, has been certified as
a Minority Business Council member by the
Houston Minority Business Council.
HMBC
certification helps companies expand their
lists of qualified vendors. Many Fortune
500 companies require that a certain proportion
of signed contracts be awarded to certified
minority vendors.
“Having
been certified by the City of Houston and
the Port of Houston Authority many years
ago and, more recently by the State of Texas
as an Historically Underutilized Business,
this certification with the Houston Minority
Business Council is the next logical step
for us to take in this next growth phase
in the company's evolution,” said
Dvorah Salvo, founder and president of Salvo
Corporation.

Training
Group Powell Plant Farm |
These
gals are great and so is the training! I
can highly recommend them both.
Powell
Plant Farm management continues to be very
complimentary of the course content and
the instruction. Management has said it
was one of the best things they have done
in a long time. In a little over a year
since the training, Powell's management
told me that several of the ground level
supervisors who attended the training have
been promoted since their work performance
exceeded expectations. Problems like employee
disputes and disciplinary actions that used
to go to HR for resolution have been drastically
reduced.
This
training is well worth it and very valued
by our customers.

Dvorah,
It’s quite obvious that you have high
energy and enthusiasm in teaching, and that
the students were engaged in the class.
I noticed too that you are familiar with
their names and call on them to participate.
This keeps everyone interested and actively
involved. I especially like the way you
incorporated the threads into your discussion.
This reinforces the material and ties it
all together.
